Default Specific question on biotics

Ok so how is it you use them? I know how to select the "wheel" then green-highlight the power you want, but does it deploy that immediately or just prime it for use with a button, like a weapon? Also, don't biotics recharge?

To be more specific, you START to use it immediately, aimed at whatever spot your crosshair was pointing at when you pressed the button. The tricky part here is that it will FINISH/EXECUTE AT THAT SPOT too, even if you move your crosshair to some other spot, hoping that it will execute there instead. Do not be fooled by that. This delay between activation and execution can screw you over ecpecially if you, say cast lift next to a charging Krogan and watch as he outruns the spot where it is still in the process of activating...

This delay, however, does NOT apply if you target an enemy or object. For example, if you start casting throw ON an enemy, you will see the throw explosion appear ON that enemy, not somewhere next to them, regardless of where they move to between start and finish. The downside to targeting an enemy with biotics is that, if it has AOE, it's much less likely to affect anything BUT that one enemy. This is true for throw/lift, so casting throw/lift on the ground next to a bunch of enemies is a much better idea. AFAIK, Singularity is the only power that does not seem to suffer from this bug.
