How do I board the Normandy?

Hi guys, I just started playing a couple days ago. I beat the Noveria level (level 3 I think) went back to the Citadel and I can't figure out how to board my ship? It's messed up that this is the first question I have, after playing for 12 hours! haha!

Go to the docks through C-Sec HQ.

Yeah, you gotta hop into that elevator that takes you to the docs. Then the entrance to your ship is on the left.
