Default Mass Effect 2 coming to Playstation 3

yes, its true. EA announced today that Mass Effect 2 will be launched on the PS3 in January of 2011.

I personally am sad to see this. I have never been one to say "EA is just a money seeking company"...well, now I can say I have.

Thank you for this new Rhetthom.

I think it's too late to come out Mass Effect 2 on PS3.

But a Mass Effect 3 in PS3 may be a good thing and also bad...

I'm happy about it actually More money for Bioware and the more people that can play the game - the more famous the franchise becomes!

Although -- it's kind of weird that ME1 is not ALSO coming out for PS3. Being able to import your ME1 characters is half the fun. =/

I agree with Biotic, but at the same time I'm curious to see what kind of "extra" stuff they will get. Don't make us fans that have followed the series for 3 years pay! At least give us the extra stuff as dlc or something. But ,like Biotic said, more people that play this game the more stuff we are ultimately going to get, so it's a bit of a catch 22.

It seems the "exclusive content" the PS3 users will get is all of the DLC's that have been released for free.

Bioware sure does know how to slap loyal 360/PC users in the face.

Yeah, I have read that since as well. I suppose we will see. One thing that will probably be for sure is the lack of support from ME1; because it was published by Microsoft. Which is a shame for anyone that wants to get into the series. To me that would be a huge tease, the save file transfers are a HUGE part of why this game is amazing.

Bioware has already said that there is going to be a way to choose the outcomes from ME1, and as long as Microsoft is standing they say ME1 will always be a 360 exclusive. And to me the save transfers didn't have that big of an impact on the story. It just felt really built up and then once I played the game I was like "eh".

I don't really think Bioware is being cruel to the loyal PC/360 base. Being cruel would be having it on all three platforms and then not releasing the next sequel on one - or only giving one platform DLC; or earlier release dates, etc.

Crystal Dynamics did it with Tomb Raider. The 360 got exclusive DLC, and they've gotten the new "arcade" style game more than a month ealier than ps3 or pc.

Bitches. I'm pretty sure Tomb Raider USED to go hand in hand with Playstation.
