I'm not normally one for special edition games as the normal game itself is expensive enough for me. But I have decided that I am going to pre-order the limited edition of ME3 as soon as I can; I suppose I just want to mark the end of one of my favourite IP's of all time with something significant.

So my question is does anyone else here collect the special editions of the ME series (or for any other game for that matter)? I remember thinking the Fallout 3 collectors was quite impressive, what with the lunch tin and all.

I'm a die-hard fan of a select few franchises, Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, Halo, so I only get collector's editions for games from franchises that I love in almost inappropriate ways. I bought the Reach edition Xbox 360. Also, a long time ago, I bought the GOTY version of Morrowind for PC, which came with an awesome little Ordinator figurine, although I tragically lost it.

I'm sort of on the fence about whether or not I'm going to get the collector's edition for Mass Effect 3. I came to love the Mass Effect series just under a year ago, so I didn't get the first two special editions. What will make me buy this one is if the extras that come with it are really cool. BioWare's been really good about tempting me to buy their shit so far, so I have a feeling I'll be coughing up the extra money to get whatever little trinkets they package with the game, no matter how ridiculous.

"Actual-size plastic model of a Krogan's left two testicles?! FUCK YEAH! Okay! Here's $100! Just take it! I can't WAIT to put that on my desk at work!"

Are replica krogan testes confirmed for ME3? I hope they are Uvenk's and we get a smug looking Grunt picture to go with them.

My Mass Effect CE arrived today. I'm really impressed with the art gallery on the bonus disc: there are hundreds of pictures grouped into different categories, each with there own sub-categories. When looking through them, you can have them be in a slide show and listen to the artist's commentary for each individual picture.

I just watched the Elcor gallery which consisted of a set of nine pictures in order of concept progression. Seeing weird sketches and listening to the commentary about how the elcor evolved as an idea was more interesting than it sounds!
