I recently saw some of the gameplay demos from E3, and one thing that really stood out was the targeting part of the HUD while out of combat.
Reminded me a lot of KotOR, where anything you could interact with in your immediate area would be selected automatically, and you could cycle through those persons and/or items by turning around or clicking some buttons.
Here is a shot of a Mass Effect demo showing what I'm talking about

My question is, will there be an option to toggle this off & on? Or possibly adjust the transparency of it? This feature really bothered me in KotOR, as it immediately showed what was interactive, taking away a bit of the exploration and discovery while making the world appear less interactive than it might be as you could easily see what is 'useable', even from quite a distance. Plus it really stands out, as this screenshot from the video and low res videos show.
I could be alone here, but I'd really love a toggle for that this time, whether it be in the options menus or on the controller itself. Anything to help the immersion. Will the HUD in Mass Effect be adjustable at all?
