Default MAKO sensitivity

Was it just me, or was the MAKO unnecessarily difficult to control? I found little rocks to be big obstacles, as well as turning sharply. Anyone find a good way to smoothly control the vehicle, or do they need to just improve it in game 2?

I found it hard to control at first but now that I'm used to it I can drive it like a pro.

Try using your jump jets to even out the terrain. Proper timing will have you running across broken terrain like a billy goat.

I think the reason I got so frustrated with it is because I have been spoiled by Halo 3's Warthog driving. Now that is an amazing control system. I honestly think it would be wise for Bioware to just take a page out of Bungie's book and use that type of model. It just seemed to me like my MAKO needed a good pair of shocks haha

Ha ha well I would have preferred normal shocks. Just to absorb that terrain better

It could be improved on. Halo didn't have us on, so many rocks. Some of the places were hard to get to. I found it a challenge. A little frustrating sometimes.

That's true. There were times when attempting to scale an impossible mountain I would finally resign to rounding what would seem like the entire range just to be able to reach the objective.

That said, I love the MAKO despite its faults (space monkey bowling!) especially in light of what alternative ME2 brings. I know it's just a research vessel but really? :P

There are few times when I actually achieve exactly what I want in regard to piloting the MAKO, but I derive a lot of enjoyment from trying to time jump bursts, doing weird maneuvers, or just bouncing around alien planets. Whatever you prefer, to me it's more of a wild card than a science. Maybe as the MAKO fumbles over uneven alien terrain, humans flounder about the "new" frontiers of space. I'm babbling. Coffee.
