What's the best place to get the sniper rifle achievement?

I haven't gotten it yet but what I've been doing is when I'm on a planet and I see enemies outside a bunker or something then I will take the Mako onto a mountain near it and I will get out and duck down behind some cover and snipe all the enemies around it before I go in.

I just got this achievemnet using the above method. It took me almost the whole game but I got it.

Use Explosive rounds for one hit kills

Any round that gives you shield by pass will pwn em in one hit to as long it's up to par with your characters lvl.

the best places to snipe i think are:

virmire, once you're up to the gatehouses there are ample opportunities to get out of your mako and hit some geth and definitely once you are on foot as team shadow and making your way up to saren's base you can use your sniper rifle like a fool

feros, when you're eliminating geth in the tower and tunnels i used my sniper rifle almost exclusively, also when you're getting rid of the thorian its much easier to have your team deal with the creepers while you use your sniper rifle to shoot the thorian nodes that way you can deal with the activated creepers once you've shot the nodes already vs having to stand within the creepers and shoot and get your butt mauled while doing it

maroon sea/vostok system/nodacrux- there are a couple of places where there are thorian creepers just walking around outside and you can just drive up to a decent spot where they are visible without zoom and then pick them off quite easily from a distance there are two groups of them

any one of the group of forgettable assignments where you storm a generic building on a random planet and kill privateers/pirates/syndicates are all guaranteed sniper opportunities. just stand outside the door open and snipe away once you have activated the enemy to storm you.

agebinium- when you deal with haliat whatever his name is once you leave the mine you're on top of a hill/plateau and you can see all the enemies walking around your mako, i had ashley and garrus with full sniper ability and assasin engaged and we shot the whole crowd of them

Use the sniper rifle as much as you can(Doing side quest really helps). You can get major kills with your SR while doing the "Geth Invasion" sidequest. Once you see a geth drop ship DON'T DESTROY IT!!! Istead just pick off the geth shock troopers with your SR. You can get 30 kills before the ship leaves.

That was the quest I got that achievement on.

If you stick with it, and zap everyone with it, you should get it during the assault on Chora's Den. Retreat your party members so you can hog all the shots.

I never tried using it in Chora's Den. Not sure why. Actually I don't think I've ever used the sniper till I started exploring the planets...thats kind of weird.
