What is your weapon of choice?

I prefer a good assault riffle to anything else mainly because they are effective at any range and have a good fire rate/damage.

Assault rifle FTW, you can upgrade them to fit any situation

i chose sniper. amazing at long range, ok at medium (quite hard to aim though) and if you dont have time to switch weapon at close range it can be affective. especially if you have a good one. I love the power of them i took out an armiture in about 3 or 4 shots including its sheild.

Hmm. I never thought of using a sniper for mid range combat. I've only used it at long range....very long range. I'll give it at try once I start my game over with my soldier.

yea its ok best if you stay in cover to aim then when your about right pop into skope and "BANG" the geth is gone. or if you have no cover just get it where you think is about right before you skope (if you try and move to much in skope its really slow)

I prefer the good ol'fashion Assault Rifile, although I use the snipe when I'm far away and for Krogens I usually use the shotgun.

The past couple days I've been using the pistol a lot more. If you upgrade it right you can get a lot of power out of it without it overheating too quickly.

cosign that. this is a great forum.

AR, hands down. I'm not even using any heat sinks in my current and this baby will never, ever over heat. Hell, I had one heat sink in my ARs for most of my first play through and the only time I remember overheating any of those is if I was overloaded, or whatever that tech is called. Since running and gunning is what I do best, I <3 ARs.

this is a really tough one b/c i do so cherish switching out my guns for the Proper One during battle.
i find that i'm seduced with using the sniper in mid range battle as others have mentioned-its so quick and effective
but i generally use the assault rifle all the time, it doesn't overheat
shotguns are excellent bc with the right ammo and just one shot they pop through kinetic shields like bubbles so you're not shooting like a mad dog.
i am aiming for that sniper achievement now! now that i've discovered how great it is i'm excited for chances to use it!
